Job Description PACU - Nursing Schedule 36 hours per week, night shift. Weekend requirements are 1-2 shifts in a 4-week schedule.
Assignment Details This position is for a Phase I PACU with a capacity of 20 beds.
Requirements - Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Experience in Trauma Level I preferred.
- Experience in electronic charting systems is required.
- Ability to manage post-operative care for adult and geriatric patients, including monitoring for pain and dysrhythmias.
- Knowledge in managing ventilated patients and administering IV vasopressors.
- Experience with central line care and ICP monitoring preferred.
Responsibilities - Provide Phase I PACU care, including monitored anesthesia care and conscious sedation.
- Perform post-operative pain assessments and manage patient-controlled analgesia (PCA).
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias.
- Educate patients and families about postoperative care and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Compliance / Notes Ohio fingerprinting must be completed urgently after booking. A valid compact or state RN license is required at the time of submission. Two professional references are required, including at least one from a manager or director.
