Role Description The Healthcare Attorney will serve as a trusted legal advisor to healthcare, medspa, and wellness clients, providing guidance on regulatory compliance, licensing, corporate structuring, and operational risk management. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and drafting contracts, policies, and consent forms; advising on federal and state healthcare laws; and supporting clients with compliance programs, internal audits, and responses to regulatory inquiries. The role involves collaborating closely with consultants and client leadership to interpret complex regulations, create practical solutions, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations. This is a remote contract role that requires the ability to manage multiple client engagements, maintain organized documentation, and communicate effectively through virtual meetings and written correspondence.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of healthcare law and regulations, including federal and state statutes, licensing, reimbursement, and fraud and abuse laws.

• Experience advising healthcare, medspa, or wellness organizations on compliance programs, operational policies, and risk mitigation strategies.
\n
• Proficiency in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, service agreements, business associate agreements, and employment-related documents.
\n
• Ability to conduct legal research, interpret complex regulatory guidance, and translate findings into clear, practical recommendations.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts to non-legal audiences in a concise, accessible manner.
\n
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with experience handling multiple remote client matters and meeting deadlines.
\n
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; additional healthcare-specific certifications are a plus.
\n
• Prior in-house, law firm, or consulting experience in healthcare or related fields; familiarity with medspa and wellness business models is highly beneficial.
