Dental Lab TechnicianA Dental Lab Technician plays a vital role in the dental healthcare team by fabricating dental prostheses, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and orthodontic appliances. The technician works closely with dentists to ensure dental devices are custom-made to meet patient's specific needs and fit precisely. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and expertise in using specialized equipment and materials to create high-quality dental appliances.RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma, GED equivalency, or currently enrolledExperience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment a plusKnowledge of tooth anatomy, preferredAbility to understand and interpret work instructionsHigh attention to detail and good organizational skillsProficiency working with small parts, hand tools, and other small equipment preferredGood eye-hand coordination, with the ability to distinguish between colors and see details at close rangeGood manual dexterity, with the ability to perform and coordinate steady hand and arm movementGood communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaborativelyAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periods depending upon task being performedAbility to walk and carry parts, materials, etc. between departmentsCOMPETENCY REQUIREMENTSReliable and consistent attendance and punctualityManufacture dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, onlays, dentures, and/or implants using various materials (e.g., ceramic, metal, acrylic) according to dentist's specification/designAbility to understand prescription and manufacture dental appliances per Doctor's instructionsFollow detailed instructions and work from impressions, molds, and digital scans provided by dentists to create accurate dental prostheticsAdjust and repair dental prostheses as needed based on dentist specifications or patient feedbackOperate specialized lab equipment such as CAD/CAM systems, 3D printers, and casting machines for precision fabrication of dental appliancesEnsure the durability, functionality, and aesthetic appearance of dental devices through detailed inspection and testingProperly select and use various dental materials, including porcelain, metals, and resins, while adhering to safety and procedural standardsMaintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and case status for each patientAbility to meet or exceed production requirements for areas of assignmentAbility to produce products that meet or exceed quality requirements for area of assignmentFollow all safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE as requiredAbility to understand and follow requirements of the quality systemSafeguard and protect confidentiality of company and patient information as defined by the company's Confidentiality AgreementUnderstand how one's performance can impact the success of the organization and product qualityAbility to use computer for scanning and to navigate through company intranetAVAILABLE BENEFITSMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance (after 90 days)Short-term and Long-term Disability Insurance (after 90 days)Life and AD&D Insurance (after 90 days)401(k) Plan with company match8 paid Company Holidays (after 90 days)Paid Time Off
