Automotive Service Assistan t plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of an automotive service center by ensuring a smooth workflow. This position involves cashiering, administrative tasks, managing appointments, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The Service Assistant supports the Service Manager and Service Advisors to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications: Basic knowledge of automotive terminology and vehicle maintenance processes. Basic computer skills, including experience with scheduling and record-keeping software. Responsibilities: Greet customers and act as a cashier, accurately handling daily payment transactions. Assist Service Manager and Service Managers in daily operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, updating service records, and processing invoices. Skills: The required skills such as communication, cashiering, and customer service are essential for interacting with clients and ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally. Knowledge of automotive terminology allows the assistant to understand technician requirements and accurately document service details. Organizational skills are used daily to maintain a clean workspace which supports smooth service operations. Preferred experience cashiering, and basic computer proficiency enable the assistant to handle administrative tasks effectively, improving overall workflow.
